Microbial Biopesticides against Bacterial, Fungal and Oomycete Pathogens of Tomato, Cabbage and Chickpea

چکیده
Biological control is an environmentally friendly approach that holds promise to complement or replace chemicals effectively protect crop plants against pests and pathogens. Environmental samples with highly diverse competitive microbiomes harbor antagonistic microbes modes-of-action can provide a rich source of microbial biopesticides. In the current study, bacteria isolated from rhizosphere soil food spoilage were subsequently screened various plant fungal oomycete pathogens in growth inhibition assays. These included new potential biocontrol Corynebacterium flavescens, Sporosarcina aquimarina saromensis anti-fungal antioomycete activities. Potential candidates selected by preliminary screening assays then applied tomato, cabbage chickpea bacterial (Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato), (Alternaria brassicicola) (Phytophtora medicaginis) phytopathogens. Ten biopesticides demonstrated be effective these diseases, led significant (p < 0.05) reductions symptoms and/or pathogen DNA compared mock-treated diseased plants. We conclude rapidly biodiverse microbiomes, where may employ features compete each other.

Background and Objective: The endophytes are the fungi or bacteria that live within a plant in a symbiotic relationship. This study aimed to investigate the effect of isolated bacterial endophytes from Allium jesdianum on some bacterial pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli as well as pathogenic fungi, including Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Candida albicans. Materials an...
متن کاملBacterial Seed Endophytes of Domesticated Cucurbits Antagonize Fungal and Oomycete Pathogens Including Powdery Mildew
The cucurbit vegetables, including cucumbers, melons and pumpkins, have been cultivated for thousands of years without fungicides. However, their seed germination stage is prone to be infected by soil-borne fungal and oomycete pathogens. Endophytes are symbionts that reside inside plant tissues including seeds. Seed endophytes are founders of the juvenile plant microbiome and can promote host d...
متن کاملReal-time PCR for detection and quantification of fungal and oomycete tomato pathogens in plant and soil samples
Although new, rapid detection and identification technologies are becoming available more and more for various plant pathogens, pathogen quantification remains one of the main challenges in the disease management of many crops. Currently, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is the most straightforward technique to quantify pathogen presence. This manuscript describes the use of real-time ...
